Cigna Corporation, a global health services company, has expanded the remit of Jerome Droesch, Chief Executive Officer for the Middle East and Africa region to include all markets across Southeast Asia (SEA) as well as the Regional Health Solutions portfolio.
The move reinforces Cigna’s commitment to the fast-growing insurance industry in the SEA region.
Jerome has successfully led Cigna’s Middle East business, and strengthened the company’s standing as an industry leader through achieving region-wide growth and stability. Recently, he was tasked with driving the growth of Cigna’s Africa markets and with building synergies across the Middle East and Africa region.
In doing so, he enabled Cigna to offer more accessible and convenient solutions to its customers.
“As a seasoned leader with extensive experience in driving business growth in the health insurance sector, Jerome holds a stellar track record in Cigna’s MEA region. As a crucial market for Cigna, I am keen to witness our growing presence in the Southeast Asia region under his leadership,” said Jason Sadler, President, Cigna International Markets.
Southeast Asia is a vital market for Cigna with a lot of growth opportunities. “The dynamic economy and the vibrant insurance industry of the region are focused on innovation, allowing us an opportunity to leverage our customer-centric approach to tailor solutions that are simple, innovative, accessible and affordable, Droesch said.
“Over the next few years, we aim for growth with a strengthened product portfolio and will focus on delivering service excellence to people and businesses across the SEA region.”
Droesch’s career spans over 29 years in the insurance industry. Prior to joining Cigna, he served as CEO of AXA Partners and was engaged in insurance businesses in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.
