Lessons from security breaches in Latitude Financial & Malaysia’s AKPK

Brian Fernandez is once again joined by co-host, Benjamin Ang Head, Cyber and Homeland Defence, Centre of Excellence for National Security, S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies at the  Nanyang Technological University in Singapore to share insights on the latest cybersecurity incidents and threats from around the Asia Pacific region.

• A major data breach out of Australia where Latitude Financial Services reported a cyber incident that resulted in the theft of personal information
• An incident where Malaysian Credit Counseling and Debt Management Agency, Agensi Kaunseling dan Pengurusan Kredit (AKPK) experienced a security breach resulting in potential loss of its  customer data 
• Positive news from Vietnam where a group of Vietnamese engineers won $115,000 for exploiting vulnerabilities in a hacking competition.
