Mary Chen took over a hospital more than nine years ago with zero medical knowledge. She shares her challenging journey to provide affordable cancer treatment to all Malaysians, especially those who can’t afford after realising that many had to sell off their assets to pay for the treatments so they can prolong their lives for a few more years.

She says at Beacon their doors are always open as their goal is to offer treatment from as low as zero, for those who have no money.

Mary shares more of their CSR programmes and also tells us that through grit and determination the hospital has managed to break-even after losing millions of ringgit.

Finally, she tells us Beacon’s plans moving forward.
