Business Angel Network of Southeast Asia (BANSEA) was established in 2001 as the leading angel investment network promoting the development of the angel investment community in Southeast Asia and is Asia’s oldest angel investment network, as claimed.
Ramesh Raghavan, the Chairman of BANSEA, shares his insights on how the angel investment scene has evolved over the last 20 years in ASEAN. He also talks about the profiles of angel investors in Singapore and what BANSEA’s members look for to invest, the sort of ticket size and time lines, and the sectors and strategy.
He shares his personal insights as an investor, what he looks out for in companies and some of the mistakes he made in the past as an investor which he has learnt from. Finally he leaves us with some advice for budding angel investors as well as experienced investors.
