The Singapore Venture Capital & Private Equity Association (SVCA) was formed in 1992 to promote the development and interests of the venture capital (VC) and private equity (PE) industry.
Its Chairman Sanjay Gujral, starts by giving us a quick overview of SVCA, how they are structured, their membership base and also how they are regulated.
Sanjay also gives us a perspective of the venture capital as well as the private equity landscape in Singapore and the region, touches upon where the capital is deployed – the stages and sectors as well as the ticket sizes.
He also gives his views on the possible impact of the recently announced new regulations by the Singapore government including:
- the new injection of new funding into the tech ecosystem by Temasek
- New SGX regulations on SPAC’s
Finally he gives us insights into SVCA’s goals and objectives for 2022 and also shares some key trends.
