Job losses has become prevalent due to Covid-19. With the implementation of the Movement Control Order (MCO) in March last year, numerous businesses have come to a grinding halt resulting in many Malaysians losing their jobs.
According to a statement by the Entrepreneur Development & Cooperatives Ministry, an estimated seven million Malaysians will become unemployed over the next 3 months, with each worker assumed to have an average of two dependents each. As of August 2021, there are over 764,900 unemployed Malaysians already!
