inDrive is one of the world’s fastest growing online ride-hailing companies, with services available in over 700 cities in 47 countries throughout the globe. The firm was recognized as the the fastest growing ride-hailing app in 2022 and ranked #2 in the world by total number of downloads by data.ai.
Founded in June 2013, the company achieved rapid success on the back of its “freedom and fair model” that allows customers greater control over pricing alongside the flexibility to negotiate a fee which they feel is fair.
In a conversation with #biztechasia Roman Ermoshin, Director for the Asia Pacific region tells us how this Siberian-born unicorn is standing out amidst stiff competition with its unique approach to mobility solutions by putting freedom, choice and control into the hands of its customers, whilst retaining a human element. He also talked about the company’s mission to “challenge injustice” and its continued expansion beyond ride-hailing to become a marketplace of services that includes intercity transportation, cargo, couriers, handyman services, and job listings.
Additionally, Roman touched on:
- How the company validates its drivers to ensure quality and safety
- The services that inDrive offers
- inDrive’s business model and how it stands above competition
- The company’s recent US$150 mil fundraise from General Catalyst to expand beyond ride-hailing
- A potential IPO for inDrive at the end of 2024 / early 2025
