Yoodo, founded three years ago, is a digital mobile start-up, owned and operated by mobile operator Celcom Axiata Bhd.
Everything about Yoodo, from the point of registration to users choosing their customised mobile plans to payments is all done on the app. Hence, without the Yoodo app, you won’t have a mobile line.
Tuck Mun tells us how the Yoodo brand has evolved from practically an unknown in the mainstream market. He also shares with us how the company is promoting the brand and its products’ offerings targeting the Gen Ys or millennials, and Gen Zs.
According to Tuck Mun, these are the generations who are into eSports and K-pop music, and that’s where Yoodo wants to be involved.
Tuck Mun declines to give the revenue figures, however, he shares Yoodo’s average revenue per user (ARPU) and expects the revenue growth to keep increasing.
Lastly, he talks about the company’s plans moving forward.
Guest: Chow Tuck Mun, Head of Yoodo
