Women are powerful agents of change, and the far-reaching benefits of diversity and gender parity in leadership and decision-making are increasingly recognized in all spheres. Still, women continue to be vastly under-represented in decision-making in politics, businesses, and communities.
In our new ‘Women in Leadership Show’, we feature women across the region who have made tremendous impact in their respective organizations, industries and communities.
Our first show features Oi-Yee Choo, Chief Executive Officer of ADDX, a fintech firm that is on a mission to provide equal access to financial markets through a regulated, transparent, and community-driven platform.
During the conversation, Oi-Yee spoke about the importance of gender diversity within organizations and across industry sectors, how womens’ representation in management roles can enhance the effectiveness of companies on the whole, including how businesses can create diverse, inclusive workplaces.
Additionally, Oi-Yee shared:
- Her role as CEO for ADDX
- The growth of blockchain and tokenization particularly in a Singapore context
- Singapore’s vibrant fintech industry and the government’s role in accelerating growth for this sector
- How her previous experiences have shaped her leadership style over the years
- Nuggets of wisdom for women who yearn to balance a successful career whilst simultaneously juggling multiple roles as mother, wife and even caregiver to their parents
