The American Chamber of Commerce in the People’s Republic of China (AmCham China) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization representing US companies and individuals doing business in China.
The chamber’s membership comprises 4,000 individuals from 900 companies operating across China and its mission is to help American companies succeed in the country through advocacy, information, networking, and business support services. In addition to its headquarters in Beijing, AmCham China serves Tianjin, Central China, and Northeast China through their Chapters in Tianjin, Dalian, Shenyang, and Wuhan.
In a conversation with Michael Hart, President of the American Chamber of Commerce in China, he touched on the challenges faced by American companies operating in China, given the increasing geopolitic complexities between the two nations. He also spoke about the realities on the ground faced by firms who have been impacted by trade and supply chain issues as a result of strict zero-Covid policies.
