Disruptions caused by Covid-19 have resulted in changes in how, when and where work gets done and the job market will never be the same again. Employees the world over are no longer willing to return to pre-pandemic ways of working, resulting in ‘The Great Resignation’, ‘Talent Uprising’ and the creation of a world in which employees have a stronger hand in dictating the terms of employment which allows them to demand more flexibility in how, when and where they work, increases in salary and even changes in organisation culture.
Experts from Kincentric, an organisation that helps businesses ignite change from the inside through data and advisory for talent development and HR solutions say “these challenges should not be seen simply as an employee revolution but rather as a driving force for organisational evolution.”
Additionally, it said smart leaders should leverage the learnings of the last year and a half to create meaningful changes in the workforce and the work itself, thus elevating the employee experience to create a culture in which employees feel inspired, respected, connected and committed.
To shed more light on this topic, we speak to Stephen Hickey, APAC Region Leader at Kincentric who shares with us an overview of ‘The Great Resignation’ and ‘Talent Uprising’, two topics that dominate HR conversations globally.
