- Numbers out of China this morning show that Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew 4.9 percent in the third quarter from a year ago which missed expectations for a 5.2 percent expansion. Industrial production rose by 3.1 percent in September, below the 4.5 percent according to analysts polled by Reuters. Vishnu gives his view on whether or not this backward looking data is reinforcing the increased concern over possible stagflation.
