Community Conversations Show Featuring Kerina Fauzi, Merdeka Award Trust

The Merdeka Award was established in 2007 to recognise and reward excellent individuals and organizations whose works and achievements have contributed to the nation’s growth and inspired greatness in the people of Malaysia.

It is a prestigious award that honors the outstanding work and achievements that have made an impact on the nation and its people in the following 6 categories:

• Education and Community;
• Environment;
• Health, Science and Technology;
• Outstanding Scholastic Achievement;
• Outstanding Contribution to the People of Malaysia;
• Anugerah Harapan Merdeka (New award category)

In our conversation with Kerina Fauzi, Merdeka Award Trust Secretariat, she takes us through the evolution of the Award and how it recognises and rewards those who embody the spirit and heart of “Merdeka”. Additionally, Kerina spoke about the process of selecting the recipients, including the values and ideals that are crucial to the Merdeka Award.
