DEA, founded in August 2018 by Naohito Yoshida and Kozo Yamada, is a Singapore-headquartered blockchain entertainment company which has developed a “play and earn” business model of combining blockchain-linked games on its gaming platform, known as PlayMining. The company has developed three blockchain games.
Through playing the games, gamers can earn DEA’s own issued cryptocurrency asset, known as the DEAPcoin, which is listed on several cryptocurrency exchanges worldwide, including Bittrex, OKEx and Indodax.
DEA also operates a marketplace, where users can use DEAPcoins to purchase non-fungible tokens (NFTs) or digital art assets designed by a team of over 70 Japanese and international artists, which can be kept as collectibles or used to advance in the games.
